The philosophy of GIS services at ITEG is to provide value added outputs and products to our clients for better informed decision-makng.  ITEG are specialists in analysing spatial information and use a variety of software packages and programming languages to process and analyse data.

ITEG hold a vast amount of digital mapping for Kosovo, including up to date 1:500 vector data. ITEG are continually adding to their vector database through field survey and by digitizing recently aquired aerial photography. The database includes infrasturucture, structures such as houses, green areas in towns and cities etc. Increasingly, ITEG is using satellite imagery in order to gain insights into temporal changes and retrospective analysis. By using such technqiues, the company has captured information such as the extent of deforestation and afforestation in western Kosovo, mapped the extent of aromatic species in pilot areas and mapped changing agricultural use patterns. As part of an ongoing project, ITEG has developed a web interface for digital spatial data. This interface can be customized to the needs of our clients and can be deleivered through the internet or internally on a company intranet.

The webGIS offers full vector editing capability as well as a suite of geoprocessing tools making digital spatial data easily accessible and informative.
